Three Blends, Three Moments: The New Nattika Essence Room Fragrances, Made in Germany
On the last morning of a cure, guests ask us the same question: how do I take this home? It is the question that gave rise to Nattika Life in 2017, and it is the question behind the newest additions to our aromatherapy line. Nattika Essence is growing, and for the first time the growth is happening in Germany.
Where it began
Nattika Life grew out of the tradition of the Nattika Ayurveda Retreats: the oils our therapists warm each morning, the blends that fill the treatment rooms, the small rituals that frame a day of Ayurveda. Nattika Essence is the aromatherapy side of that family, blended essential oils made to accompany massage and meditation, and the Prabah candle that many guests already keep at home.
Until now, every Nattika Essence product came from Kerala. The new range is different. It is blended and bottled at Schlosspark 1 in Penzlin, the very grounds of Park am See Nattika on the Tollensesee. Ayurveda beyond the retreat, made where the retreat is.
Krithi, Saya and Prabodhi - the three new Nattika Essence room fragrances
Krithi, Saya and Prabodhi - the three new Nattika Essence room fragrances
What is new
Three room fragrances, each a composition of essential oils in a plant-based carrier, made for reed diffusers, aroma diffusers and ambient scenting of living rooms, bedrooms, offices, yoga and wellness spaces. Ten millilitres each. One for the morning, one for the evening, and one for the quiet in between.
Krithi - woody and balsamic
The name is inspired by Sanskrit. Krithi brings together cedarwood and olibanum with earthy vetiver and a soft floral note of lavender: woody, resinous, grounding. It is the blend for the hours that do not belong to anyone else, a reading chair, a long bath, a room that should feel like the park after rain.
Aromatic profile: woody · resinous · earthy · soft floral
Composition: cedarwood (Cedrus atlantica), olibanum (Boswellia carterii), vetiver root, lavender
Saya - the evening
Saya takes its name from a Sanskrit word associated with rest and repose. It pairs the fine floral note of lavender with the fresh, herbal character of tea tree and the mild warmth of black pepper. Light it, or set the reeds, an hour before you intend to stop for the day.
Aromatic profile: floral · herbal · gently spicy
Composition: lavender, tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), black pepper
Prabodhi - the morning
Prabodhi means awakening. Rosemary brings the herbal freshness, cedarwood the warmth, black pepper a subtle spice. It is the blend for the first hour of the day, the one the Ayurvedic daily routine, dinacharya, says matters most.
Aromatic profile: herbal · woody · gently spicy
Composition: rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), cedarwood, black pepper
How to use them
Add a few drops to a reed diffuser, an aroma diffuser or any ambient fragrance system. Start with less; essential oils carry.
Rotate by time of day: Prabodhi in the morning, Krithi through the day, Saya in the evening. Or keep one in each room.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, ideally between 15 and 25 °C.
For ambient fragrance only. Not for application to the skin and not for ingestion. Keep out of reach of children. If skin contact occurs, wash with plenty of water.
Why Germany
Since Park am See Nattika opened in 2023, we have shown that Ayurveda can travel: the doctors, the therapists, the oils and the kitchen all moved north with the cure. Nattika Essence now follows the same path. Blending and bottling in Penzlin means shorter journeys to European homes, production under EU standards, and a range that was conceived in the same rooms where our guests first encounter these scents.
Availability
The new range launches on 7 November 2026, the day Park am See Nattika turns three. Each 10 ml bottle costs €15. Available at the retreat and through Nattika Life.
To be the first to know when the shop opens, join the Nattika Life newsletter at nattikalife.com, or ask at reception on your next stay at any of our retreats.
